Become a Beneficiary

Who Can Apply
We currently cater to individuals, families, and community organisations in South Africa who:
Fall within one of our focus areas (mental health, food security, water access, sanitation, and dignity projects).
Do not have the financial means to access these services on their own.
We do not discriminate. Anyone may apply to become a beneficiary, regardless of race, gender, religion, or background.

Eligibility Criteria
Must be based in South Africa (for now).
Must fall within the scope of our programmes.
Must demonstrate financial need.
Must provide basic documentation if requested (ID, proof of residence, or organisation details).
Must pass background checks. We do not accept applications from individuals with serious criminal offenses. We believe in supporting good people who are committed to healing, growth, and positive change.
Priority may be given to vulnerable groups and high-need communities.
These criteria are in place to ensure that donations from our funders, partners, and supporters are used responsibly and reach those who need them most.

Data & Consent
By applying to become a beneficiary, you agree that The African Soul Centre may collect and process your personal information in line with POPIA (Protection of Personal Information Act, 2013). This information may be shared (in aggregate or anonymised form where possible) with funders, grant-makers, and trusted partners for reporting and accountability purposes. We will never sell your information or misuse your trust.

Important Note
While we strive to assist as many people as possible, we cannot guarantee support for every applicant. Allocation of resources depends on available funding, grants, and partnerships at the time. Applications will be considered fairly, with integrity, and in line with our capacity.

Application Process
Complete the Application Form – Tell us about yourself, your community, or your organisation.
Submit Required Documents – Provide supporting information if requested (including proof of need where possible).
Review Process – Our team (and, in some cases, our partners) will assess eligibility and conduct background checks.
Outcome – We will get back to you with the result and next steps.
