We are excited to announce that, together with our partners at SOSNPO, Phase One of our joint project is officially complete. After being on the ground in Gauteng and conducting hygiene surveys across 40 schools and 8 ECDs, the data is in: this project is set to impact over 63,864 children. But for us and the SOS NPO team, this mission is about more than just numbers. Hygiene is dignity. Research shows that 70% of students in poor sanitation environments report a direct loss of dignity and increased anxiety. By reaching these 63,864 learners, we aren't just fixing bathrooms and uplifting health and sanitation; we are protecting mental health and restoring a sense of self-worth. Together, we’re proving that school bathrooms and mental health go hand in hand. Take a look at our video below and stay tuned for Phase 2.
